Sketch Health is a general wellness journal from DO CODE LAB. It lets you record meals, movement, mood, energy, notes, and optional personal progress photos.
Your saved journal entries, workout history, food log, and Body Sketches are stored in the app on your device. Sketch Health does not require an account or upload your journal to an account service. Device backups may include app data according to your operating system and backup settings.
Before an AI request, the app asks you to agree to sharing the meal details for analysis. Only after you agree and press the estimate or analyze button does the app send the food name, portion, preparation details, meal type, and, for photo analysis, the selected meal photo. The request passes through our Cloudflare-hosted service to OpenAI, which generates the estimate. Your other saved entries, mood check-ins, journal, and Body Sketches are not included.
Our application server does not save meal descriptions, photos, or AI responses to its database or application logs. We request that OpenAI not store the response for later API retrieval. This is not a promise of zero retention: infrastructure providers may process or retain data for security, abuse prevention, and legal obligations under their policies. See OpenAI's privacy policy, OpenAI API data controls, and Cloudflare's privacy policy.
AI estimates can be inaccurate. You review and choose whether to apply an estimate before it becomes a saved food entry. Manual entry and the small local USDA reference catalog remain available without AI sharing.
Cloudflare processes connection information, including your IP address, to deliver and protect the service. Our database holds request counts and a daily keyed hash of the IP address for usage limits, rather than the raw IP address. These counters are removed from the active database after approximately 25 hours. Provider security logs or backups may have separate retention periods. Requests are limited to control abuse and service costs.
Camera access is used only when you choose to take a meal or progress photo. Photo selection is optional. A meal photo is sent for AI analysis only after the separate sharing choice described above. Personal Body Sketches are not sent for AI analysis.
You can use the journal and manual food logging without AI, decline the AI sharing checkbox, and manage camera access in your device settings. You can edit or remove entries where the app provides those controls. Removing the app clears its local app data, subject to any device backups you maintain. Declining future AI requests does not retract information already processed by a provider.
Sketch Health does not sell personal information or use journal content for advertising. The app does not include advertising tracking. It is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information through the AI service.
